Its been a super busy start to 2015 and thats mainly because i've had the pleasure of meeting lots of my beautiful new brides for their trials. I've also been so excited to have the time and opportunity to build up my editorial makeup portfolio, focusing on fresh new bridal makeup looks for 2015.
Back in January I organised a Team Glam shoot with the exceptionally talented photographer Linda Blacker. I first heard about Linda through Exquisite Essex magazine who I write some editorial features for. Linda was without a doubt the perfect photographer for the idea I had in mind.
2014 was a huge year for the flower wall after being used by many fashion houses such as Dior and Jimmy Choo. I wanted a vibrant backdrop where Team Glam could use the colour as inspiration for the hair and makeup whilst showing something that was lavish and accessible for real brides. My vision for the shoot I planned on behalf of Team Glam was all about producing magazine quality images of the hair and makeup to show our clients that this level of perfection is available and affordable to them.
On this shoot I was paired with Lynnette Chaser who won the 2014 Essex Wedding Awards for bridal hair. I work very closely with Lynnette and we always share great excitement when planning looks for our models.
When I think of fresh summery flowers I instantly wanted to add a pop of colour to my models makeup going for the modern romantic style. I focused on the use of pinks for eyes, cheeks and lips keeping the 'barely there' trend in mind for the skin.
As spring/summer bridal makeup is all about soft and pretty I wanted to keep the makeup looking as fresh as possible. Its important to me to use soft tones on the eyes and cheeks, adding shimmer to the cheeks to give that beautiful illuminated finish.
I hope you enjoy the end result.
