VERY.CO.UK Party Edit Launch

Very.co.uk Party Edit collection launch at the OXO Tower

On Thursday 13th November I had the pleasure of working alongside Makeup Artist Sarah Drummond to create looks for the runway models.

We were lucky enough to arrive just in time to witness the rehearsal and all the amazing, very sparkly collections, including Sam Faier’s range for Very.

After discussing looks with fashion stylist Claire Ginzler we opted for a soft, shimmery smokey eye, dewy highlighted skin and a bold lip colour, inspired from Burberry’s No.18.

We created this look using Urban Decays Naked Palettes 2&3 with shades; bootycall, liar, factory and mugshot. The eye was outlined with Estee Lauder double wear gel liner in STAY ONYX. As the event was sponsored by Eylure, I opted to use their 100 lashes, halved and used on the outer corners of the eye. Under the eye was softly defined by using the Urban Decay shade factory, half way under the water line and finishing off with a Mac gold pigment on the inner corner.

Sarah and I are both trained in the specialist technique of airbase make-up. We used 3 shades from the collection to create dewy, highlighted and contoured skin, giving all the girls a flawless glowing complexion.

To finish, we used a beautiful shade from Bobbi Browns Lip Colour called Roseberry. It’s been one of my favourites since I first bought my Pro Lip Palette from Bobbi Brown.

The final touches were added to our models by the hair team from Richard Ward, who did an amazing job with all the girls, creating oversized pony tails with lots of volume.
